In order to explain how my Petri 7 analog camera works, I first need to open the camera. Then by using photos of my process, you will see for yourself how the main parts function.

diassembly - main parts |
The main parts are;
The lens, shutter, diaphragm iris
The lens contains the shutter and diaphragm iris. It basicly controls the light. This small element contains the most crucial parts, and consists of many small mechanical components.
Note: in complex analog camera's, the shutter mechanism is found in the body.
The body, guide rails, wind mechanism, indicator, trigger
The body consists of a chamber for the film and has guide rails. It also has a mechanism to wind and rewind the film. On the top there is a indicator that shows how many pictures are left on the film. Next to the indicator is the trigger for taking a picture.
